Installing seams in today’s stone countertops has become art. Days of simple color match and glue finishing have been replaced by precision seam tooling that helps to make seams more invisible. The most common type use vacuum plates on the polished surface to pull and level the seams. These allow for ample force to be applied to the glue to squeeze out the excess to produce very narrow glue joints. Some allow for multiple points to flatten while other tools that improve the quality of seams are used before the stone is installed. They work by producing clean, chip free, straight edges, that will mate together perfectly. When done properly the seam will not only feel perfect, it will be as if no seam exists at all.
