Tenax Adhesives: Acrylic vs. Epoxy
Although acrylic adhesives have rather short self-lives, its advantages in both beauty and bond makes it a great choice, because it even has the ability to have a tight bond on oily surfaces; just one of its many advantages.
Epoxy has great resistance from humidity and still has a bond worthy of Hercules grip. It works well on woods, plastics, and metals. It is widely used across different industries because of its resilience to nature's elements. The bond of epoxies is so strong the stone will break before the bond will.
When working with any adhesive or chemical, remember to wear the appropriate safety gear. Be sure to wear gloves and handle the adhesives with spreaders or wooden mixing sticks. Never handle the adhesives with your bare hands!
